The World of the Web

Types of Web

We as the people practically use the web on a daily basis, either its for simple and technical research, or watching a compilations of best moments from your favourite show on YouTube.

However the web is actually much more bigger than that, there are three different sets of the web and they are Surface Web, Deep Web and The Dark Web. You’ll be lying to yourself if you have never heard of the Dark Web before.

The Surface Web consist of the daily webs we use on a day to day basis such as Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and more. Then comes the Deep Web where it involves the usage of academic databases, legal (or illegal) documents, scientific reports, some government records etc.

Lastly what is the Dark Web?

The Dark web gives a person the access to such things like products of weaponries and many types of drugs. Its a net like no other, its everything you can get that the clear-net can not give. The work of TOR, drug trafficking, political protests and many more dangerous things. And Yes this is all illegal and part of the deep web like discussed before.

There are numerous how one can get access to a dark web and that is either using a VPN, PGP Encryptions or a TOR Browser.

Another aspect of the web is Mixed Networking, It is a routing protocol that develops a ‘hard to trace’ communication or conversation by using a set of proxy servers which are called mixers that receives messages from several senders which are shuffled around and then sent back in an unsystematic order to its destination.

In simple matter, this discombobulates the link between the references of the request and its destination meaning it will be much more difficult to disrupt their communication or even eaves drop.

There are many things you can learn about the web and one of them is how it can be utilised.

Proxy Servers

Furthermore there are Proxy Servers which take measures of being a gateway between the user which is you and the internet. its a source or server that closes a uses from ever entering a specific website.

In my opinion this should be looked positively as it acts a shield from your web from maybe getting hacked into or spark virus on your digital device. It supplies the act of privacy, security and functionalities.

VPN

As mentioned previously, there is an acronym called VPN which stands virtual private network. From my experience, I just see it as a gateway that makes your web to be coming from another country for example the USA or Netherlands etc. Which can help people to access websites that they cant enter from their own original web browser.

A great example is that lets say I have a favourite television show that streams on Netflix or Hulu but it doesn’t stream in my current location, I can then turn on my VPN for that it can trick the server thinking that I am coming from another country for instance the American Netflix plays my favourite show so in the VPN settings, I can choose USA and it can get processed within a couple of seconds.

It simply gives you privacy online, it was originally being utilised for business settings from massive businesses, governments and organisations that wanted to secure their data. This was a concern as hackers could steal their data and profit from it.

In this day of age, everyone uses VPN due to the fact it secures your location and that your data is encrypted and you can search the web anonymously.Open publish panel
